.... Kansas’ win was as impressive as it gets. In the 2nd half, the Jayhawks shot 62% from long range. They never seemed to miss, as they dismantled Nova’s vaunted perimeter defense. Now they now get the same opportunity against an inferior defense, but also of note: Kansas’ perimeter defense is not good, especially in the half-court. Ranking 200+ in various perimeter defensive metrics, UNC will have equal opportunities to knock down shots from deep, and it has more proven shooters. It also looks like Armando Bacot will play despite an injury suffered vs. Duke. If Bacot trolls the offensive glass and commands attention down low, that will open up UNC’s offense even more. If this game turns into a track meet — as expected — these are two of the most efficient transition offenses and will be able to go blow-for-blow with each other. If you look at Barttorvik's ratings since March 1, the Tar Heels are #1 by a good margin, so put that in your hat and smoke it. The safer play is UNC +4, but Ima hit that moneyline. I give the Heels a way better shot at winning outright than the odds imply. Of course, if Bacot's out, KU likely rolls. I'll also buy-in on the obvious play on the over, even though they have it priced high. 77-76 🌏
