🏀 Arkansas / Gonzaga OVER 154½ -105 ... The Hogs have struggled a little in the first 2 games, but they were playing very slow-paced teams. The Zags play the #6 fastest tempo in the nation(ARK is #30) and Arky is most comfortable playing at a fast pace. This line may be skewed a little low after Gonzaga has underperformed in the first 2 games as well. Both squads have top-15 defenses, but the Zags will bring the #1 offense in the land and a significant height advantage. Unbelievably the Zags are #1 in the nation in eFG% & 2P% on both offense and defense! The line is pretty sharp, but in the end, the Zags just have too many ways to attack the Hogs' #55 defense. I see this as a showcase game with both teams scoring plenty, just Arkansas won't be able to keep up. I'm on the Zags and the over. 87-72

🏀 Arizona -1½ -105 ... Arizona has played the tougher schedule and still has the better record. These are #2 and #3 ranked teams overall by KenPom...so it's somewhat of a travesty they have to play so soon. Houston D will likely double the post most anytime it goes there leaving open shots from the perimeter. 3-point sniper Kerr Kriisa had a tough outing last game going 1-10 all from three in his 1st game back after missing 3 games with an ankle sprain. It will be crucial that he hits at least a couple early to complement Mathurin and help keep the Cougars' defense honest. Zona is the tallest team left and they have 2 quality 7-footers with a third off their bench. Even though AZ has the 4th fastest avg possession time, I can see them slowing pace somewhat when they can't get out in transition. On paper, this will be the game of the day and I doubt it disappoints. I'll roll with the Wildcats and the under even though I'm not very sure about this selection. 72-70

🏀 Texas Tech -112 ... Duke freshman AJ Griffin (10.3 ppg, 3.8 ppg) injured his ankle Sunday and may not be 100%, but he's playing. Duke will get all the calls like Duke does, lol. Texas Tech is 0-5 ATS in L5 after a win and 2-6 ATS in L8 overall. But they are the #1 defensive team by a fair amount. They have lots of big bodies to clog the middle and pound the glass. If coach Adams' squad can keep this game in the 60s which is where the line sees it...it will likely be Coach K's swan song. TT 68-65

🏀 Villanova -5 -105 ... What the fuck is MI doing here in their 5th straight Sweet 16? This team has played way over their ceiling, but I just can't see them advancing tonight. Big Blue has the weakest defense playing today at 77th while Nova can get points from all 5 starters. Way too many weapons offensively for the Wildcats. Dickinson will no doubt be a tough matchup size-wise, but Jay Wright is a master who will figure some way to gameplan for this...I could see them going at him hard early and often to cause foul trouble as they do have several slashers. Without him this game is not close, however, with him, I still see a Nova win & cover. 71-64
